We are located at the corner of 4th and Church Streets in downtown Dayton, Oregon (population c.2,100). Our cornerstone was was laid in 1859, the same year Oregon was admitted to the Union and 21 years before the city of Dayton was incorporated! While the church has been remodeled and upgraded over the years, its ties to our historic past can be seen in our beautiful (and recently refurbished) stained-glass windows and heard in our weekly call to worship by our traditional steeple bell.
While we desire to honor our traditions, we are not tradition-bound: We are Christ-bound and we are always looking for better ways to serve Him! Our worship services are a blend of traditional hymns (which teach us about our Lord and His kingdom) with the best of today's choruses (which bring us into His presence) . This is coupled with strong Biblical teaching, firmly rooted in God's Holy Word.
So, if you are looking for a church home, a new friend, or just a place to belong, please visit us and stay for coffee, or a potluck, or both!
